The conference was great! I was blessed by the great teaching. I have struggled with the fear of man for a pretty long time. I totally could identify 100% with Pastor Mark's sharpener denial story. :) and when he shared a checklist to see if a person had a problem with the fear of man, i mentally ticked all of the criteria! As a person who loves God and wholeheartedly desires to make a difference, this fear has caused me a lot of frustration and heaps of guilt. Because even though I really wanted to share my faith, most of the time I would shrink back from it in conversations with friends. All kinds of situations scare me - sharing a testimony, leading Bible study, sharing my faith, talking to a new person. Hearing Pastor Mark's own stories of how in the past, he allowed fear to take over was very reassuring, because now this same sharpener-denying person is a great preacher for God!

I always thought that it was a feeling I had to overcome, some sort of a weakness in my character, if you like. However, Pastor Mark shared a truth which helped me to understand this problem better. He said that "fear is not a feeling, it's a spirit." Suddenly i realised I had the ability to overcome this - by the name of Jesus! It wasn't a feeling i had to keep fighting! It wasn't a personality flaw or weakness, but a spiritual problem which we can overcome by exercising our authority as children of God. So I prayed that afternoon and rebuked the spirit of fear. It was liberating. I continue to stand on the freedom that Christ has given me, even if it means that I have to keep closing the door to fear many times over the next few months or years. God is so good! I am excited to start living a life of no regrets by following Jesus without fearing man.

I'm Cordelia and just wanna say how much God has changed my life and blessed me through the deeper conference. Pastor Mark's preaching about an undivided heart has got me thinking about what have I given my heart to. I realised my heart didn't totally belong to God. And also bout the one about we have to know who we are, who God is, and to see people as they are? It really helped me see things in a new way and I no longer feel bothered that much about how people think of me. I also learned that we have to ask for God's touch if we really hunger for it. Altogether, I've learn lots of new things and most of all, my passion to see my classmates save was renewed, I realised that I got to make a difference and not to give up on my school even though some of my friends see me as a person that always pesters them about God. Just wanna encourage Uncle Kester and everyone that is involved in the organizing that you all did a great job and I really appreciate it! God bless you all!

God really touched and refreshed and refocused me through this conference. Last year's Deeper conference was my turning point, God absolutely changed me. This year I got a change of heart and the fire of the Holy Spirit and a clearer understanding of the life I want to live for Jesus. It was awesome!!

Samson Tan describes himself as a simple but nice guy. He has been actively involved in youth and college ministries for a number of years. Samson is often dubbed "cilipadi" (a type of small and hot chili) for his small stature and his fiery passion for God. This college student also plays mean drums.

Here's what he has to say...

"God's heartbeat for the young people in this city has been evident. Kuching is a city that is unique because I believe there's a calling in the lives of the people here to reign and to rule for Christ. Every year we see a vast amount of people coming to know Christ BUT at what level of power and moving of the Holy Spirit have we seen so far? Day in day out, has Christ been the centre of most of the things that we do? I believe through this conference, the community is going to change. God is calling His people in this region to emerge and get real into the things of God."

"This life-changing encounter will bring every member through glory to glory and into a deep relationship with the Most High God. We'll see cultures being pierced, communities touched, lives saved and the reality of Jesus Christ will be made known through us christians. Young people are the channel that God is using and through us I know that we're going to places of destiny and living as sons and daughters of King of Kings."

This Is The Time

It’s time to make Jesus famous through our lives.
It’s time to live a life for Jesus.
When someone looks at us, what do they see?
Is it Jesus and His love in us?

It’s been our hearts’ desire to see young people in E. Malaysia, particularly those from Kuching rising up for Jesus.
Are we making an impact in the schools?
Are we creating ripples in colleges and work places?
Will people turn to us for help when they are in need?

A few years back, God put in our hearts.
A vision to unite the young people in our city.
And eventually the states for His kingdom.
At the same time, to be able to train and equip them.
To face the onslaughts of the world and yet be able to stand up.
